A second-generation IIM, the institute was established in 2011. Located in the Kashipur district of Uttarakhand, the college ranks at the 19th position in management by NIRF rankings 2023. IIM Kashipur is a member of both the AACSB and the EQUIS organizations and is currently on its way to becoming one of the elite IIMs of the country to offer MBA program. It is declared as an &lsquo;Institute of National Importance&rsquo; by the Ministry of Education (MOE), Government of India.

IIM Kashipur offers postgraduate and doctoral programmes. The institute accepts admission on the basis of various national/state-level entrance examinations such as GMAT/GRE/<a href="https://www.jagranjosh.com/exams/cat">CAT</a>/<a href="https://www.jagranjosh.com/exams/gate">GATE</a>. Candidates are required to appear for the respective entrance examination to fulfill the IIM Kashipur admission criteria to be eligible for admission. Placement training is also provided by the IIM Kashipur placement team to ensure the successful placement of the students. The institute has a wide campus size of 200 acres with a student and faculty count of 507 and 25 respectively.
