Indian Institute of Management Kashipur (IIM Kashipur) was established by the Government of India in 2011. IIM Kashipur is located in the Kashipur district of Uttarakhand. It was ranked by the NIRF at the 23rd position with a score of 61.74 in the Management category. This IIM is also a member of AACSB and EQUIS and is recognised by BCI, PCI, MCI, COA, UGC and AICTE. a It is also declared as an ‘Institute of National Importance’ by the Ministry of Education (MOE), Government of India. The flagship courses offered here are MBA, MBA (Analytics), & Executive MBA. Admission is based only on the marks secured by the candidate in the CAT exam. It has collaborations with Alba Graduate Business School, Coller School of Management, Turiba University, Latvia and many more. It also offers scholarships to students with financial need. Central Sector Scholarship Scheme of Top-Class Education for Scheduled Castes Students are offered to IIM Kashipur students.

IIM Kashipur Admission 2026
As per the IIM Kashipur admission criteria, selection of candidates to the various programmes is based on certain criteria. While preparing a final merit list, scores of the entrance exams, academics, work experience and performance in the personal interview is considered to shortlist the candidates depending upon the programmes. According to the IIM Kashipur admission procedure, selected candidates have to submit the required documents for verification. After the verification of documents, candidates are required to pay the fees to complete the IIM Kashipur admission process.
Step-by-step application process:
- Candidates are required to register for the respective entrance examination as per the desired course.
- Selected candidates will be then called for a personal interview and counselling round.
- Final admission is done after the verification of documents and payment of fees.
IIM Kashipur Admission 2026 Process
In order to take admission to the PGP course (MBA) at IIM Kashipur, candidates need to take the CAT exam. Upon qualifying the CAT Exam, candidates must fill out the online form provided they meet the eligibility. Students will be shortlisted based on merit.

IIM Kashipur shortlists students based on CAT exam for MBA. The selection criteria for popular programmes is as below:
- MBA selection criteria - CAT score + Class 10, 12 & Graduation marks + PI + Work Experience + Professional Qualification
- EMBA selection criteria - EMAT/ CAT/ GMAT score + PI + academic performance + minimum three years of managerial/ entrepreneurial/ professional experience
Students have to appear for the JAP counselling for MBA at IIM Kashipur.
Declaration of Final Merit List
Following the conclusion of all the selection rounds, the institute may publish a category-wise merit list. Students who make it to the merit list become eligible for admission. The IIM Kashipur cutoff is posted on the official site.
