IIT Kanpur offers undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral programmes. Admission to the programmes is made through national/state-level entrance examinations. Candidates are required to register for the respective entrance examinations to fulfill the IIT Kanpur selection criteria to be eligible for admission. IIT Kanpur has a Students&rsquo; Placement Office (SPO) for all the recruitment and placement related processes. Student training, infrastructure arrangements, resume shortlisting, hospitality, scheduling, conducting screening tests and conducting job interviews are the various services provided by the institute SPO in coordination with the Career Development Cell (CDC). Some of the activities of IIT Kanpur placement office include assisting students for internships, organising interviews training and coordinating recruitment process for graduating students through campus placement drive. SPO also maintains contact with various corporate sectors in order to provide good career opportunities to the students. IIT Kanpur invites placement recruiters on the campus. Summer internships and career counselling sessions are also conducted by the institute placement office.
