Indian Institute of Technology Tirupati, which is popularly known as IIT Tirupati, is a public university for Tech. studies. It was established on 5 August 2015 by the MOE, Govt. of India. It is established in Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh, India. IIT Tirupati along with 5 new Indian Institutes of Technology established in 2015. It is ranked 59th on the NIRF 2023 Ranking List under the engineering category. It has granted the status of &lsquo;Institution of National Importance&rsquo; by the Ministry of Education, Government of India.
Indian Institute of Technology Tirupati: Highlights
IIT Tirupati offers undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral programmes. Admission to the programmes is based on various national/state-level entrance examinations. Candidates are required to register for the respective entrance examination and appear for the examination to fulfill the IIT Tirupati selection criteria to be eligible for admission. The placement assistance is provided by the Career Development Centre (CDC) of IIT Tirupati. IIT Tirupati placement is conducted every year for the final year students. Students are required to upload their resumes on the placement portal before the start of the placement process. Students are also given pre-placement offers on the basis of their training or internship programmes. The institute has a campus area of 548.30 acres with a student and faculty count of 819 and 84 respectively.
