Scholarships and AICTE Stipends For M.Tech Students
AICTE offers stipends and scholarships for M.Tech students. The monthly stipend ranges from Rs. 12, 400 and is offered to GATE qualified candidates, allowing them two years (24 months) of financial assistance. The AICTE PG Scholarship aims to reduce the financial pressure on students so that they can focus on research, project and academic activities.
Given here is a list of scholarships and AICTE stipends that may help students while pursuing M.Tech degree in any of the institutes.
1. Along with Rs. 12,400 monthly scholarship for GATE qualified students admitted for post graduate program in an AICTE approved institute, candidates also receive annual contingency grant worth Rs. 5000.
2. To avail the scholarship and monthly stipend candidates must have secured a minimum of 60% marks every semester. If failed to maintain the marks, the candidate’s stipend may reduce it to Rs. 1550.
3. Candidates pursuing M.Tech may also claim Institute Assistantship if admitted in IITs and IISc Bangalore. The institutions provide Teaching Assistantships (TA)/Research Assistantships (RA) as well to provide financial aid to M. Tech scholars.
4. Along with scholarships and teaching assistantships, candidates can also avail corporate level scholarships offered by private companies. It is highly rewarding especially for candidates who are pursuing professional degrees like M.Tech, B. Tech, MBA and MBBS.
