National Institute of Technology, Delhi which is popularly known as NIT Delhi is a public-funded, autonomous body under the Ministry of Education, Govt. of India. It was established in 2010 in Delhi, India. NIT Delhi is one of the 31 National Institutes of Technology in India. It has been recognized as an ‘Institute of National Importance’ by the Ministry of Education (MOE), Government of India. It is ranked 51th in the NIRF 2023 list under the engineering exam category. NIT Delhi provides scholarships to the students of the Scheduled Tribe category and also provides National Fellowship and Scholarships based on academics.

NIT Delhi Admission 2025
NIT Delhi offers Undergraduate, Postgraduate and Doctorate programmes. Admission to the B.Tech college programme is made through JEE Main examination and Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA)/ Central Seat Allocation Board (CSAB) centralised counselling process. For the M.Tech college programme, candidates need to have valid GATE scores followed by the CCMT counselling. PhD admission includes a national-level written test conducted by NIT Delhi. Students must secure a minimum of 40% marks in the written test to be eligible for the interview round taken by the interview committee.
Step-by-step application process:
- Candidates have to appear for the national/state-level entrance examination as per the desired course.
- Selected candidates will be then called for a personal interview and counselling round.
- Final admission is done after the verification of documents and payment of fees.
