National Institute of Technology, Goa which is popularly known as NIT Goa is a public funded institute of higher learning for engineering, science and technology. It was established in 2010 in Goa, India. NIT Goa is approved by NCTE (National Council for Teacher Education) and NAAC (National Assessment and Accreditation Council). It is ranked 90 in the NIRF 2023 list under the <a href="https://www.jagranjosh.com/colleges/engineering">engineering college</a> category and is also recognized as the &lsquo;Institute of National Importance&rsquo; by the Ministry of Education (MOE), Government of India. NIT Goa gives admission to Foreign and NRI students on the basis of the scheme of DASA (Direct Admission to Students Abroad).

NIT Goa offers Undergraduate, Postgraduate and Doctorate programmes. Admission to the programmes is made through national/state-level entrance examinations followed by the counselling session and personal interview round. Candidates are required to appear for the respective entrance examination to fulfill the NIT Goa selection criteria to be eligible for admission. The institute has a department dedicated to placement and recruitment training. NIT Goa placement cell provides job and internship opportunities in several domains like corporations, MNCs, NGOs, academic institutes, and many more. The institute also organises pre-placement lectures by esteemed leaders of notable organisations for students to gain insights on the skills required, work culture and personality traits needed according to the current market scenario.&nbsp;
