School of Planning and Architecture, New Delhi which is popularly known as SPA New Delhi is a public institute for Architecture and Planning, established in 1941 by the MOE, Government of India. SPA Delhi offers undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral courses. Admission to the courses is based on entrance examinations. Candidates must appear for the respective entrance examination and obtain a valid score to fulfil the School of Planning and Architecture, admission criteria to be eligible for the courses. The SPA Delhi placement and training cell consists of student representatives, industry experts and departmental representatives. They organise placement drives every year by the recruiters to conduct interviews for students. The programs offered by the placement and training cell include soft skills training, career counselling and internships to enhance the employability of students. The team handles all aspects including urban planning, industry and government needs for infrastructure projects. The college has a campus area of 8.77 acres with a student and faculty count of 1180 and 91 respectively.

Admissions to the UG courses are done on the basis of candidates JEE Main scores and Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) counselling/Direct Admission of Students Abroad (DASA).
Admissions to the PG courses are done on the basis of performance in the qualifying examination, Portfolio of work, Personal Interaction with the faculty and written test.
Admissions to Ph.D courses are merit-based, both full-time and part-time. Ph.D aspirants are required to study the Research Methodology course.
