Veermata Jijabai Technological Institute (VJTI) is an autonomous institution owned by Maharashtra State Government, established in 1887. The institute is located in Matunga, Mumbai, Maharashtra, affiliated to University of Mumbai and approved by AICTE (All India Council for Technical Education. VJTI Mumbai offers undergraduate, postgraduate, diploma and doctoral courses. Admission to the courses is based on entrance examinations. Candidates must appear for the respective entrance examination to fulfil the VJTI Mumbai admission criteria to be eligible for the courses. Veermata Jijabai Technological Institute has a Placement and Training office which takes care of the placements drive on campus. The placement and training office organises the placements drives and also extends internship and in-plant training opportunities to the students. The placement office maintains a relationship with the corporate sector for industry interaction.
