The All-India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) has introduced the 'Young Achievers Scholarship and Holistic Academic Skills Venture Initiative (YASHASVI) Scheme 2025'. This initiative aims to encourage students to pursue technical education in key areas of engineering and technology.
The AICTE YASHASVI scholarship scheme 2025 is open to students pursuing engineering disciplines such as civil, chemical, electrical, electronics and communication, mechanical, agriculture, and textile technology in AICTE-approved institutions. The application deadline is February 15, 2025.
According to the official notice, a total of 5,200 scholarships will be awarded annually under this scheme, with 2,593 scholarships designated for degree courses and 2,607 for diploma courses.

Eligibility for the AICTE YASHASVI Scholarship Scheme 2025
The eligibility criteria for the AICTE YASHASVI Scholarship Scheme 2025 are outlined below.
- The candidate must be enrolled in the first year of a degree or diploma course at an AICTE-approved institution for the respective year. Alternatively
- The candidate must be in the second year of a degree or diploma course through lateral entry at an AICTE-approved institution for the respective year.
- The family’s total income from all sources should not exceed Rs 8 lakh per annum for the current financial year. A valid income certificate issued by the State/UT Government must be provided.
AICTE YASHASVI Scholarship Amount
The official press release states that degree-level students will receive a scholarship of Rs 50,000 annually for each year of study. This covers a maximum of four years for first-year students and three years for lateral entry students.
Diploma-level students will receive a scholarship of Rs 30,000 annually for each year of study, with a maximum duration of three years for first-year students and two years for lateral entry students.
