What is Subject Mapping at Delhi University?

As per the UG Bulletin of Information (BOI) 2026 of Delhi University, candidates for undergraduate admission must take the CUET (UG) 2026 in the same topics they studied and passed in class 12th. If the exact match is not possible among CUET subjects, candidates are advised to select the most similar CUET paper.

For Example:-

If the candidate studies Biochemistry in Class 12th but CUET does not direct;y include it, they can and should select Biology because the subjects overlap significantly.

  • It seeks to prepare students to join a profession or to offer development chances in particular, and graduates can seek work in a variety of fields or pursue further education.

Combination 1:-

  • English from List A + Any three subjects from List B

Combination 2:-

  • English and one language from List A + Any two subjects from List B

B.A. (Honours) Psychology

  • This program allows students to study the historical influences of psychology as a discipline.

  • The curriculum handles the rapid changes in the subject matter.

  •  The undergraduate psychology courses cover a wide range of topics, including biopsychology, cognitive psychology, history, research methods, etc.

  • This course offers a logical framework for understanding the behaviour and interactions of households, corporations, and government organisations.

  • This program offers training similar to undergraduate studies at top universities worldwide.

  • Any one language from List A + Mathematics or Applied Mathematics + Any two subjects from List B

B.A. (Honours) History

  • The program aims to develop graduate traits, including well-being, emotional stability, critical thinking, social justice, and employability skills.

  • Students interested in the B.A. (Honours) history program can learn current historiography in an interesting and understandable way.

Combination 1:-

  • Any one language from List A + Any three subjects from List B

Combination 2:-

  • Any two languages from List A + Any two subjects from List B

B.A. (Honours) Political Science



  • This program introduces students to political discourse and encourages critical thinking and societal issues.

  • Introducing philosophers from many traditions helps students solve fundamental political problems, such as why we live in political societies. What is the ‘best’version of government? How does human nature shape political decision-making?
