The admission to B.Tech course is based on the candidate's performance in the WB JEE (West Bengal Joint Entrance Exam). WB-PGET/GATE scores are considered for admission to M.B.A/M.E/M.Tech courses, whereas WB JECA scores are considered for admission to the M.C.A course. HIT Haldia also accepts national/state-level entrance exams for admission to some courses. Candidates must fulfil the Haldia Institute of Technology selection criteria to be eligible for admission.
