About IBS Kolkata 2025
IBS Kolkata offers admission to the PG programme. The programme is offered in the management field. Students seeking admission to the PGPM programme must meet the IBS Business School’s eligibility criteria. The college has trained faculty members and counselors to provide mentoring, coaching, psychological counseling and soft skills to the students.

IBS Kolkata Admission Process 2025
IBS Business School, Kolkata admission to the PGPM course is based on IBSAT examination, an online computer-based aptitude test, conducted by The ICFAI Foundation for Higher Education. Candidates who have appeared for entrance exams like CAT, NMAT by GMAC, GMAT, SNAP, XAT, MAT, CMAT, CET (Maharashtra), CUET-PG and any other State Level Tests are exempted from IBSAT.
IBSAT 2025
IBSAT 2205 is a national-level test for MBA admissions in 9 IBS campuses across India.
IBSAT 2025 is an online exam administered by The ICFAI Foundation for Higher Education (IFHE) in Hyderabad. You can take the test from home, as it uses remote proctoring. The exam measures your skills in Quantitative Techniques, Data Interpretation, Data Adequacy, Vocabulary, Analytical Reasoning, and Reading Comprehension.
If you have a valid score from CAT, NMAT by GMAC™, XAT, or GMAT™ from 2023 or later, you don't need to take the IBSAT 2025 exam. However, taking the IBSAT 2025 makes you eligible for a scholarship of Rs 2 lakh. Regardless of whether you take the IBSAT 2025 or not, you must fill out the IBSAT 2025 application form to continue with the admissions process.
How to Apply for IBSAT 2025
IBSAT 2025 is a single application process for admission to the 2-year full-time MBA/PGPM 2026–28
programs across all nine IBS campuses:
- IBS Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Dehradun, Gurgaon, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Kolkata, Mumbai, and Pune
Steps to Apply:

- Visit the official registration page
- Fill in your personal and contact details
- Submit the application
- Pay the application fee of ₹ 1800
After successful payment, applicants will receive login credentials through email/sms.
In a week's time IBSAT 2025 official brochure will be dispatched to the applicant's address.

Selection Process
If you are shortlisted based on your scores from IBSAT 2025, CAT, NMAT by GMAC™, XAT, or GMAT™ (from 2023 onwards), you'll be invited to the selection process. This will take place starting in the second week of February 2026 and will consist of a Micro Presentation and a Personal Interview.
Micro Presentation
In this part, you'll be given a random topic and have 1 minute to prepare and 3 minutes to speak. It tests your thinking, organization, and communication skills.
Personal Interview
The interview, which typically lasts 5 to 7 minutes, is conducted by a panel. They will assess your attitude, communication skills, and clarity of thought. They'll also check your awareness of current events and your overall readiness for a career in management.
Admission decision
Final selection is based on your past academic record and how you perform in the Micro Presentation and Personal Interview.

- Will the students be provided with laptops?+No, the students are expected to bring their own Laptops when reporting at the campus.
- What is the role of group discussion and personal interview in the selection process?+G.D. - In the group discussion, a topic will be announced to a group of 8 – 10 candidates. The candidates will be given 15 minutes for the group discussion. After discussion each candidate will be given an opportunity to summarise his/her opinion in a minute. The group discussion aims to evaluate the candidate’s expression, initiative communication, analytical skills and behaviour in group. P.I. - A personal interview is the final stage in the selection process. The interview panel members are Directors, Deans, Senior Faculty Members and Alumni. The duration of the interview for each candidate will be for 10 minutes. The interview panel will focus on assessing the attitude, aptitude and aspirations of the applicant besides evaluate the candidate’s general knowledge, communication skills, clarity of thought, expression and aptitude for a career in management.
