IIEST Shibpur offers undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral courses. Admission to the courses is based on national/state-level entrance examinations. Candidates must fulfil the Indian Institute of Engineering Science and Technology admission criteria to be eligible for the courses. IIEST Shibpur has a placement cell which offers placement opportunities to the students at a variety of renowned organisations in the small and medium sectors. The Indian Institute of Engineering Science and Technology Shibpur Placements Cell also assists students in their preparation by providing mock interviews, soft skills training and other activities. Candidates from economically weaker backgrounds can avail IIEST Shibpur Scholarships under certain criteria. It has a campus size of 121.08 acres with a student and faculty count of 3932 and 234 respectively.
