Indian Institute of Technology (Indian School of Mines), Dhanbad was established in 1926 with an aim to become a nationally and internationally acclaimed premier Institution of higher technical and scientific education. In 1967, the Institute was granted status of &lsquo;Deemed to be University&rsquo; as per UGC guidelines.
