Jamia Millia Islamia is a Central university which is research-focused. It was founded in 1920 in Aligarh and moved to Delhi in 1925. Given below are some of the common guidelines for admission that a candidate must remember before applying for admission to any of these courses:-
- Admission to all programs at Jamia Millia Islamia is based on merit, determined through an entrance test conducted by the university.
- For B.Tech., admission is granted based on final ranks in JEE Main 2025.
- For B.Arch., admission is based on final ranks in NATA-2025, conducted by the Council of Architecture.
- Candidates scoring less than 30% in the descriptive section of the entrance test (if applicable) will not qualify for an interview or admission.
- A negative marking of 0.25 marks will be applied for each wrong answer in objective/multiple-choice questions for all programs except Ph.D.
