The Assam Science and Technology University administers the Assam Combined Entrance Examination (CEE). It was set up by the Government of Assam under the Assam Science and Technology University Act 2009.

ASTU strives to provide education and research opportunities in science, technology, and various professional courses in Assam. It is the leading and only technical university in the North Eastern Region of India. The university supervises the academic regulation of all undergraduate and postgraduate programs in engineering and pharmaceutical sciences, along with select professional courses in science and management.

Participating Institutions For Assam CEE Examination 2025 Key Highlights

A list of the participating institutions of Assam CEE 2025 will be published on the official website of astu.ac.in. The list of participating colleges will assist candidates in making informed decisions about selecting the right institution. Those who qualify for the exam will be eligible to take part in the Assam CEE 2025 counselling process.

The application process started on February 5, 2025, and will conclude on March 9, 2025. Admit cards will be issued between April 12 and April 23, 2025.  The Assam CEE exam was conducted on April 27, 2025. The result and the final answer key were released on May 15, 2025. The candidates who appeared in the examination should be able to download their scorecard and check their final answer key from the official website.

Jorhat Engineering College

Jorhat Engineering College, a leading technical institute in Northeast India, has been serving society for 62 years. Affiliated with Assam Science and Technology University, the college currently offers AICTE-approved B.Tech programs. Assam Engineering College

Bineswar Brahma Engineering College

In 2006, the Government of Assam announced the establishment of an engineering college in Kokrajhar. The college was named Bineswar Brahma Engineering College (BBEC) after Bineswar Brahma, a respected member of the Bodo community and a dedicated social worker who sacrificed his life for its development. 

Bineswar Brahma Engineering College offers four-year B.Tech programs in four different disciplines, which are listed below:-

Barak Valley Engineering College

Barak Valley Engineering College is the first state government engineering college in Assam's Barak Valley region and the fifth state engineering college in the state. The Assam government took the initiative to establish the college in 2009, and it became fully operational in 2017 under the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Assam.

Golaghat Engineering College

Golaghat Engineering College is the sixth government-approved engineering college in Assam, situated in Bogorijeng, Golaghat. Students from various districts of Assam, with diverse cultural and financial backgrounds, enroll in the college. 

Affiliated with Assam Science and Technology University (ASTU), the college offers four-year Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) programs in three different disciplines, which are listed below:-

Eligibility Criteria for the Assam CEE Examination 2025

ASTU aims to provide education and research opportunities in science, technology, and professional courses in Assam. Since it was establishment, the university has focused on high-quality teaching and research in advanced areas of science and technology. It regularly updates its syllabus, promotes research at an international level, and works to connect the region's traditional knowledge with modern technology.
The Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Guwahati, will announce the counselling schedule and admission process guidelines.

The eligibility criteria for the Assam CEE 2025 examination are as follows:-

  • The candidate should be an Indian National.
  • The candidate should be a permanent resident of Assam.
  • The candidate should have passed class 12th in the relevant subject from a recognised board.
  • The candidate should have at least scored 45% in class 12th for the unreserved category and 40% for the reserved category.

Exam Pattern of Assam CEE Examination 2025

Candidates planning to appear for the Assam CEE (Combined Entrance Examination) 2025 should be familiar with the exam pattern. Understanding the paper pattern will help them prepare effectively to achieve high scores and secure a good rank in CEE 2025.

The paper pattern of the Assam CEE 2025 is as follows:-

  • The paper will be conducted for 3 hours or 180 minutes.
  • The paper shall consist of 120 multiple-choice questions.
  • For every correct answer, 4 marks will be awarded, and 1 mark will be deducted for an incorrect answer.
  • CEE 2025 will be based on the curriculum of the Assam State School Education Board, Higher Secondary Division.

Assam CEE Examination 2025 Exam Schedule 

The Assam Science and Technology University will conduct the Combined Entrance Examination (CEE) 2025 for B.Tech. admissions in Assam colleges. Assam CEE is an annual exam and will be based on the syllabus of the Assam State School Education Board, Higher Secondary Division. The admit cards for the Assam CEE 2025 were made available from April 17-23, 2025.
