National Institute of Technology Andhra Pradesh (NIT AP) provides admission to B.Tech, M.Tech, M.S. (by Research), and PhD programs for the 2026 academic session. All candidates must fulfill the specific eligibility requirements for their chosen program before starting the application process.

Admission Pathways & Entrance Exams

Selection for various programs at NIT Andhra Pradesh is determined by national-level entrance scores or institute-led assessments:

• B.Tech Admissions: Based on JEE Main ranks. The Session 2 exams for 2026 were held from April 2 to April 9, 2026.
• M.Tech Admissions: Based on GATE performance. The official GATE 2026 results were announced on March 19, 2026.
• M.S. & PhD Admissions: Candidates are selected through an entrance test conducted by the institute, followed by a personal interview.

Counselling & Seat Allocation

After the exam results are out, candidates are required to register on the designated centralized counselling portals to facilitate the seat allocation and admission process.

• For B.Tech: Seat allocation is managed by JoSAA. Any vacancies remaining after the JoSAA rounds will be filled through CSAB rounds.
• For M.Tech: The centralized CCMT process is used for seat allotment based on GATE scores.
