National Institute of Technology, Manipur which is popularly known as NIT Manipur is a public funded autonomous technical institute under the Ministry of Education, Govt. of India. It was established in 2010 in Imphal, Manipur, India. It is ranked 95 in the NIRF 2023 list under the <a href="https://www.jagranjosh.com/colleges/engineering">engineering college</a> category and is one of the 31 NITs in India. NIT Manipur has been declared as an &lsquo;Institute of National Importance&rsquo; by the Ministry of Education (MOE), Government of India.
National Institute of Technology, Manipur: Highlights
NIT Manipur offers Undergraduate, Postgraduate and Doctorate programmes. Admission to the&nbsp;programmes is conducted through various national/state-level entrance examinations. Candidates are required to appear for the respective entrance examination to fulfil the NIT Manipur selection criteria to be eligible for <a href="https://www.jagranjosh.com/colleges/btech">B.Tech college</a> admission. NIT Manipur placement and training cell organises the placements for the students. Students are also provided training programmes on communication skills and personality development and help them prepare better for the placements. The placement cell also conducts practice sessions and mock test classes on quantitative ability, aptitude, logic and reasoning to make students practice and get better before appearing for a written test and final interview. The institute has a campus size of 341.5 acres with a student and faculty count of 787 and 63 respectively.
