National Institute of Technology, Delhi which is popularly known as NIT Delhi is a public-funded, autonomous body under the Ministry of Education, Govt. of India. It was established in 2010 in Delhi, India. NIT Delhi is one of the 31 National Institutes of Technology in India. It has been recognized as an &lsquo;Institute of National Importance&rsquo; by the Ministry of Education (MOE), Government of India. It is ranked 51th in the NIRF 2023 list under the <a href="https://www.jagranjosh.com/exams/engineering">engineering exam</a> category. NIT Delhi provides scholarships to the students of the Scheduled Tribe category and also provides National Fellowship and Scholarships based on academics.
National Institute of Technology, Delhi: Highlights
NIT Delhi offers Undergraduate, Postgraduate and Doctorate programmes. Admission to the programmes is conducted through various national/state-level entrance examinations. Candidates are required to appear for the respective entrance examinations to fulfill the NIT Delhi selection criteria to be eligible for admission. NIT Delhi placement and training cell assists students in the final placement drive. The placement cell of the institute provides training to help students develop the necessary skills that recruiters look for. For this, the cell organises various placement activities such as guest lectures by industry experts, industrial visits, workshops, etc. Organisations from various sectors such as Cloud Telephony, Analytics, IT Services, Software Services, Banking IT Services, Mobile Research and Development, e-Commerce, Apps, etc visit the campus for conducting placement drives. The institute has a campus size of 51 acres with a student and faculty count of 696 and 42 respectively.
