Shyam Lal College (SLC) is a constituent college of University of Delhi, established in 1964 by Shri Shyam Lal Gupta. SLC is located in Shahdara, New Delhi, accredited by NAAC (National Assessment and Accreditation Council) with &lsquo;B+&rsquo; Grade and affiliated to Delhi University. The College is ranked at 68th position as per NIRF rankings 2023.

SLC Delhi offers undergraduate and postgraduate courses. Admission to the courses is based on CUET examination. Candidates must appear for the respective entrance examination and obtain a valid score to fulfil the Shyam Lal College admission criteria to be eligible for the course. Shyam Lal College has a dedicated Placement Cell that works towards coordinating and managing recruitment related activities. The placement cell acts as a link between the students and industry by allowing students to choose a career path from a variety of options. The placement cell organises seminars, webinars, workshops, personality development programmes and guest lecturers to fully groom students before the final placements. The college has a campus size of 7.28 acres with a student and faculty count of 2978 and 58 respectively.
