On June 16, 2025, the UPGET 2025 announced the results for the GNM (General Nursing and Midwifery), a three-year course for all government GNM nursing colleges and schools under the Department of Medical, Health, and Family Welfare, Uttar Pradesh, as well as all private institutions or colleges affiliated with the UP State Medical Faculty that run the GNM Program.
The UPGET 2025 was administered by the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Medical University (ABVMU), Lucknow, UP, for the General Nursing and Midwifery courses for the academic year 2025-26, to all the affiliated private institutions and colleges and for all the government colleges and schools. THE UPGET 2025 Counselling for Round 1 will be conducted from June 17, 2025, to June 23, 2025, and the allocation of seats will be announced on June 26, 2025. Candidates are advised to visit the official website regularly for updates.

List of Participating Colleges in UPGET 2025
Admissions to the General Nursing and Midwifery, a three-year course for the academic session 2025-26, are done through the UPGET 2025 exam only. The colleges and institutes do not accept direct admission to this course. This course is offered by both government and private institutes and colleges.

Counselling Procedure and Eligibility Criteria
The UPGET 2025 was conducted for admission to the GNM course for the academic year 2025-26 in the subjects, Science, General Knowledge and English. The minimum qualifying marks to qualify for this exam, as prescribed by the official conducting body, are as follows, category-wise is as follows:-

Eligibility Criteria:-
The candidates who qualified for counselling in the result of the UPGET 2025, which was declared on June 16, 2025, are only eligible to participate in the counselling rounds conducted for admission to the colleges and institutes offering the GNM course if they meet the required eligibility criteria.
Below is the list of the eligibility criteria required to be able to participate in the counselling procedure after being listed in the UPGET 2025 results:-

A candidate should be at least 17 years of age on or before 31st December 2025.

A candidate should have at least secured 40% marks in English and opted subjects in class 12th from a recognised board.

A candidate who completed their studies from the State Open School, recognised by the State Government, and the National Institute of Open School (NIOS), recognised by the Central Government, is also eligible.

A candidate should have secured at least 40% marks in English in class 12th in the vocational ANM course from a school recognised by the Indian Nursing Council.

A candidate should be medically fit.

Counselling Procedure for admission to GNM Course:-
The registration for the counselling process for the students who qualified for the UPGET 2025 exam for admission to the General Nursing and Midwifery course began on June 17, 2025 and will conclude on June 23, 2025.
Below is the list of the registration process for the counselling procedure for admission to the GNM course:-

The eligible candidate has to register themselves for counselling by using their existing log-in details, which they used to fill out the application form.

When the candidate is registering for the UPGET 2025 counselling process, all the primary information like the candidate’s name, parent’s name, category, date of birth, etc, is pre-filled.

Those candidates who marked themselves as appearing in the class 12th exam throughout the application have to revise their class 12th marks.

The eligible candidates have to upload their class 10th and class 12th mark sheets on the portal.

The eligible candidate has to pay an online counselling registration fee, which is non-refundable, of INR 500, and a counselling security fee of INR 1000, both of which have to be paid online and in a single payment of INR 1500.

Following successful registration, candidates can choose the universities of their choice and preserve their information.
