Pratitee Bordoloi is a Bengaluru-based Woman FIDE Master (WFM) and India's only medalist at the event. The championship featured 758 players from 83 countries competing between June 15 and 26, across the Under 14, Under-16 and Under-18 categories. She is one of India’s most promising young chess talents.

Pratitee won the silver medal in the Girls Under-18 category at the 2026 FIDE World Youth Chess Championship in Montesilvano, Italy. She was India's only medallist at the tournament who remained undefeated, with 7 wins and 4 draws for a total of 9 points from 11 rounds.
