National Forensic Sciences University (NFSU), formerly known as Gujarat Forensic Sciences University, was established by the Government of Gujarat in the year 2009. The National Forensic Sciences University (NFSU) was founded under the leadership of Shri Narendra Modi, the then Chief Minister of Gujarat, to develop skilled workers in forensic sciences.

The National Forensic Sciences University started with just four courses across three institutes but quickly expanded by introducing unique programs such as Forensic Nursing, Forensic Odontology, Homeland Security, Anti-Terrorism, and Digital Forensics.

At present, NFSU has grown significantly and now operates nine campuses across different states in India, along with one international campus, making it a leading institution in forensic education and research they are as follows:-

  • Bhopal
  • Pune
  • Guwahati
  • Manipur
  • Dharwad
  • Uganda

Candidates who booked tickets but couldn't cancel them or had to travel to the exam center can submit their original tickets to NFSU, Gandhinagar. They will be reimbursed up to the cost of a 2nd class train fare.

The program will commence on July 22, 2025. The detailed schedule for the exam is avaialable on the official website. The candidates are advised to visit the official website to be updated about the exam dates.

Given below are the common eligibility criteria for admission to the various programs offered by the National Forensic Science University:-

  • A candidate must have a bachelor’s degree in science, engineering, forensic science, medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, Ayush, etc.
  • A candidate who belongs to the General, OBC, and EWS categories should have at least scored 55% marks in the relevant fields.
  • A candidate who belongs to the Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, and PWD category must have secured at least 50% marks in the relevant fields.
