Dental Colleges Tamil Nadu: With highly regarded private schools like Saveetha Institute of Medical and Technical Sciences (SIMATS) (NIRF Rank 2) and SRM Dental College (NIRF Rank 8), in addition to the esteemed Tamil Nadu Government Dental College, Chennai, Tamil Nadu continues to be a top choice for dental students in 2025. The final cutoff rank is determined by the competition, and admission to both BDS and MDS programs is solely based on NEET UG and MDS scores.
Private deemed universities frequently charge between INR 4 lakhs and INR 9 lakhs per year for the BDS course, whereas government schools are extremely economical (e.g., INR 10,000–90,000 annually). Graduates from top-tier colleges typically command average annual packages ranging from INR 5 LPA to INR 9 LPA in institutional placements, reflecting a strong career outlook in the region.
The best dental colleges in Tamil Nadu for 2025 are shown in this table, mostly based on reputation and the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) 2025. A qualifying score in the NEET UG and NEET MDS tests is required for admission to all of these institutes for BDS and MDS.
