The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Raipur, renowned for #BuildingBusinessOwners, in partnership with the Entrepreneurship and Skill Development Program (ESDP) Division, MSME, is pleased to introduce two specialized development programs. Aspiring individuals can apply for either the "Advanced E-SDP for New Venture Creation" or the "6-Day Advanced MDP for Business Scale-Up for MSMEs." The deadline to apply for these programs is 12th January 2025.
The Advanced E-SDP for New Venture Creation will take place from 3rd to 7th February 2025, while the Advanced MDP for Business Scale-Up for MSMEs will run from 3rd to 8th February 2025. Both programs are completely free of charge, fully funded by ESDP and MSME, with no fees expected from participants.

Professor Ram Kumar Kakani, Director of IIM Raipur, emphasised the institute's commitment to fostering innovation, entrepreneurship, and growth among MSMEs, with a special focus on SC/ST communities. He stated:

By targeting SC/ST communities, we aim to cultivate a culture of entrepreneurship that strengthens MSMEs and contributes significantly to India's vision of becoming a global economic powerhouse, as outlined in Viksit Bharat 2047.”
This 5-day program is a thorough guide for aspiring entrepreneurs, equipping them with the skills to turn their innovative ideas into successful ventures. Through this course, participants will acquire in-depth knowledge of critical business domains, including:
- Entrepreneurial marketing and financing
- Leadership and operational efficiency
- Legal aspects of business
The curriculum will navigate participants through the complexities of launching a new venture, covering topics such as:
- Identifying opportunities and creating a professional management structure
- Turnkey opportunities in various industries
- Corporate governance for new ventures
By the end of the program, participants will be equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to successfully establish and grow their new ventures.
The Advanced MDP for Business Scale-Up for MSMEs is a 6-day program designed to help MSME owners and managers tackle business growth challenges. It provides participants with practical strategies to expand their operations, create scalable business models, and achieve sustainable growth. Key topics covered include opportunity identification, entrepreneurial marketing, securing finance, establishing global ventures, and managing the unique challenges of family businesses. Upon completion, the program offers a clear roadmap for scaling enterprises and handling the complexities associated with growth.
The offline programs are open to individuals aged 18 and above who hold a graduate degree. IIM Raipur invites participants from across India, with a special emphasis on those from Chhattisgarh. Graduates from the SC, ST, OBC, Women, and PH categories are strongly encouraged to apply.
Participants will be selected according to the ESDP Guidelines. Submitted applications will be reviewed and shortlisted, and shortlisted candidates may be invited for further interaction if required. The final results will be announced, and selected participants will receive formal admission confirmation.
