IIIT Sonepat offers undergraduate and doctoral courses. For B.Tech admission, candidates are required to appear for the JEE Main entrance examination. The qualified JEE Main candidates can proceed with the Indian Institute of Information Technology, Sonepat admissions through the Centralised Seat Allocation Board (CSAB) and Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) following the reservation policy of the Government of India. Candidates must fulfil the IIIT Sonepat selection criteria to be eligible for admission. For the final admission, candidates have to submit the documents for verification and pay the fees.

These are some of the listed scholarships offered at IIIT Sonepat for the academic year 2025-26: 

1. Central Sector Scholarship (NSP): The scholarships provide full financial support to SC/ST students with family incomes below ₹8 Lakhs.
2. UP/Haryana Post-Matric Scholarships: This is offered to students belonging to the home state or neighboring regions under state welfare schemes.
3. Pragati Scholarship: The scholarship is offered particularly to girl students to encourage  their participation in technical education in IT sectors.

To enroll in UG, PG and PhD courses offered by IIIT Sonepat, for this academic year, candidates need to have these eligibilities: 

1. Undergraduate (B.Tech): For admission students must have completed their Class 12 (or equivalent) examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one subject amongst Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biology, or a Technical Vocational topic. A minimum aggregate of 75% marks (65% for SC/ST/PwD) in Class 12 is necessary, in addition to a valid JEE Main rank.
2. Doctoral (Ph.D.): To enroll for PhD programs candidates must have a Master's degree in a relevant field of engineering/technology (e.g., CSE, IT, ECE) with at least 60% or a CGPA of 6.5/10. To be considered for institute fellowships, candidates must hold a valid GATE or NET qualification.
3. For Direct Ph.D. Entry: Candidates may get an exception to PhD admission who hold B.Tech degree from a Centrally Funded Technical Institute (CFTI). They are only eligible to apply for direct admission if they have maintained a CGPA of 8.0 or above consistently. They may also be exempted from GATE score qualification.
