Admission Process

Indian Instiutute of Technology Bombay accepts admission through entrance tests. Candidates are required to appear for JEE Main and JEE Advanced to be eligible for flagship courses like B.Tech. Students must have qualified class 12 to be eligible for UG courses, whereas graduation is a must to enroll for PG programmes.  At IIT Bombay course admissions are done in online mode, registration forms are available on the official websites for the respective courses, like

Admission is based on marks scored by the candidates in their master’s degree.

Step-by-step admission process:

  1. Candidates have to appear for the respective entrance examination.
  2. Selected candidates will be then called for a personal interview and counselling round.
  3. Final admission is done after the verification of documents and payment of fees.

Admission Process

To be eligible for major courses offered in IIT Bombay, students must have completed their Class 12th education with 75% aggregate marks (65% for SC/ST) to enroll for bachelor’s degree. They also need to hold entrance exam ranks such as JEE Advanced for BTech, UCEED for BDes, GATE for MTech, JAM for MSc, along with academic performance.

Age restrictions are based on categories, relaxations may vary.
