The Karnataka Professional Colleges Foundation founded the Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka (COMEDK) to offer a fair, impartial, and effective testing procedure for determining the qualifications of applicants for admission to the member institutions.
COMEDK has been providing assistance to about 150 engineering colleges, 24 dental colleges and 16 medical colleges. Since its foundation, COMEDK has administered the yearly entrance exam for undergraduate and postgraduate programs at member colleges.
With approximately 20,000 seats distributed across 400 locations nationwide, COMEDK was scheduled to administer the Engineering Entrance Test 2025 on May 10, 2025, for the current school year 2025–2026. However, because of military operations, Operation Sindoor, the entrance exam was held on May 25, 2025, for those locations where it was not held on the scheduled date. Registration for the entrance exam was open from February 3, 2025, until March 24, 2025. The results for the Entrance exam will be made live on June 7, 2025, as per the official notification.
