Under-19 Cricket: A Trail of Records

Vaibhav Suryavanshi had already made a name for himself in the world of youth cricket before his debut in the 2025 IPL season.

He led India Under-19 to World Cup victory in early 2026, capping it off with a masterstroke of 175 runs in 80 balls in the final against England Under-19, where he was named Player of the Tournament.

He had earlier, during the Vijay Hazare Trophy at the age of 14 years and 272 days, become the youngest men's List A cricketer to score a century.

That hundred was scored from just 36 balls, which was the fourth quickest List A century by an Indian.

He also set a new record for the fastest 150 in men's List A cricket, bettering the mark set by AB de Villiers (64) with 59 balls. He bowled for the rest of the innings, finishing with 190 for 84 (226.19) with 16 fours and 15 sixes.

He had also previously knocked off a 58-ball century in the youth Tests against Australia, which remained the fastest Indian century in the format.
