The esteemed Executive MBA program at IIM Ranchi officially launched its Winter Batch 2025-27 with a grand inaugural ceremony, featuring engaging speeches, experience sharing, and an atmosphere of anticipation for the journey ahead. The event began with Prof. Rajeev Verma, Chairperson of the Executive MBA program, extending a warm welcome to the distinguished Chief Guest, Shri Nilendu Kumar Singh, Hon'ble Chairman-cum-Managing Director of Central Coalfields Limited (CCL), Ranchi; Guest of Honor, Mr. Jasbir Singh, President of HR and Cluster HR Head for North and Renukoot Cluster at Hindalco; Prof. Deepak Kumar Srivastava, Director of IIM Ranchi; Prof. Tanusree Dutta, Dean of Academics at IIM Ranchi; and Prof. Amit Sachan, Dean of Executive Education & Consultancy at IIM Ranchi. The ceremony concluded with the dignitaries participating in the traditional lamp-lighting ritual to commemorate the event.

Executive MBA Winter Batch 2025-27
The Executive MBA Winter Batch 2025-27, a diverse cohort comprising software and mechanical engineers, managers, bankers, entrepreneurs, and operations specialists, convened for their inaugural session. During introductions, students expressed a strong desire to enhance their managerial expertise, business acumen, and leadership capabilities to effectively contribute to their respective organizations and society. Alumni from previous batches shared their transformative experiences. Mr. Nitesh Kumar, Senior Manager - Defence Operations at Tata Motors (Summer Batch 2022-24), highlighted how collaborative learning and engaging classroom discussions effectively bridged leadership gaps. Mr. Vikas, Head of Capex Management at ESL-Vedanta (Summer Batch 2023-25), emphasized the program's invaluable multidisciplinary insights and its crucial relevance in addressing contemporary organisational challenges. Mr. Kumar Siddhanth, Senior Manager at RDCIS, SAIL (Winter Batch 2024-26), commended the professors' accommodating nature and the program's unique ability to foster a rich tapestry of diverse perspectives.
Following the student interactions, Prof. Deepak Kumar Srivastava warmly welcomed the new batch, emphasising the program's core focus on cultivating critical thinking skills through rigorous engagement with relevant models, frameworks, and problem-solving methodologies, complemented by extensive research endeavors. Recognising the dynamic nature of contemporary education, the Director highlighted recent academic innovations, such as the implementation of hybrid learning modules. He encouraged students to embrace diverse perspectives and cultivate the adaptability necessary to navigate the ever-evolving demands of the professional landscape.
Mr. Jasbir Singh emphasised the program’s comprehensive approach to learning and networking, commending its ability to integrate insights from various industries and regions. He highlighted the value of diverse lessons and the knowledge shared by the distinguished faculty. Shri Nilendu Kumar Singh delivered an inspiring speech, drawing connections between life and leadership lessons from epics like the Mahabharata and Ramayana. He encouraged students to look beyond academics, embrace real-life experiences, and apply those lessons in both their workplaces and daily lives. He also underscored the importance of achieving success that benefits not just oneself, but society at large.
The event gracefully concluded with a formal felicitation of the Chief Guest and the Guest of Honor.
