Indian Institute of Technology Palakkad, which is popularly known as IIT Palakkad, is a public university that was established in 2015 by the Govt of India. It has received the status of ‘Institute of National Importance’. It is the third generation of IITs and is currently mentored by IIT Madras. It is located in Kerala and was established along with 5 new Indian Institutes of Technology established in 2015. The institute was ranked 64th under the Engineering category of NIRF 2025. The flagship course offered here is BTech.
