India’s higher education landscape has been dynamically transforming in the last decade. Central Universities institutions established by an Act of Parliament and funded directly by the Government of India, play an important role in delivering quality education across disciplines, research, and inclusive access for students nationwide. Historically, central universities were concentrated in a few regions, but with the expansion of educational goals, the Government has systematically established new central universities in states and regions previously without such institutions, ensuring balanced academic access and upliftment across socio-economic sections.

These newly instituted universities are transforming opportunities for students, researchers, and academic collaborators, particularly in regions that previously lacked comprehensive public universities.
