IIT Guwahati Introduces a 4 Year Biomedical Science and Engineering B Sc Program

A new four-year Biomedical Science and Engineering degree has been launched in the Bachelor of Science program at the Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati. The Jyoti and Bhupat Mehta School of Health Sciences and Technology (JBMSHST) at IIT Guwahati will provide this recently introduced curriculum.

One of the key components of the newly launched program is that it will provide a joint learning experience with the National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER), Guwahati. Key Highlights of IIT Guwahati's Biomedical Science and Engineering Program for 2025

This multidisciplinary program combines pharmacology, medical sciences and engineering on one platform. The clinical immersion experience, which allows students to collaborate with top surgeons and medical experts, is an essential part of this newly introduced academic program.

This Biomedical Science and Engineering program also involves a cross-institutional learning structure developed in partnership with the National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER), Guwahati and AIIMS Guwahati that offers exposure to a variety of perspectives in biomedical science and engineering.
