IIT Bhubaneswar Admission 2026

- B.Tech & Dual Degree (B.Tech + M.Tech)
- Students must qualify JEE Main to be eligible for JEE Advanced.
- 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) is required. Students need to have a minimum of 75% aggregate (65% for SC/ST/PwD) to be eligible for the seat.
- Lastly, students will have to appear for the counselling process which is conducted through JoSAA (Joint Seat Allocation Authority).
- Seat is allocated based on All India Rank (AIR) in JEE Advanced and student preferences.
- M.Tech & M.S. (Research)
- Students need to have a valid GATE score along with other requirements.
- Should have completed Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Technology and hold a minimum of 60% marks or 6.5 CGPA.
- Most IIT graduates with a CGPA of 8.0 or above may get exemption from GATE and can be considered through direct interviews.
- Counseling is done through COAP (Common Offer Acceptance Portal) followed by an internal selection process (written test/interview).
- M.Sc. (2 Years)
- To get admission in M.Sc program students need to take the IIT JAM (Joint Admission test for Masters).
- Bachelor's degree is required to be eligible for the programme in a relevant science stream. They should hold at least 55% (50% for SC/ST/PwD).

- Ph.D. Programme
- The process includes direct written tests and interviews conducted by the institute.
