Eligibility Criteria of Law Colleges in Punjab 

Following are the eligibility criterias for admission to law colleges in Punjab-

For Undergraduate Courses (Integrated LLB): 

  • Minimum 45% in 10+2 from a recognized board.
  • Students have to clear the entrance exams that are conducted on the national level, state level, or university level.
  • No upper age limit.

For Undergraduate Courses (LLB): 

  • Candidates should have scored a minimum of 45% in 10+2 from a recognized board.
  • No upper age limit.

For Postgraduate Courses (LLM):

  • Students have to complete a Bachelor’s degree from a recognized institute/ college with a minimum of 45-50%.
  • For the LLM course, candidates should have an LLB or any equivalent degree i.e., any integrated degree with LLB.
  • LLM is a legal post-graduate degree.

For Ph.D. Courses:

  • Students must have a Post graduation degree from a recognized university with a minimum of 55% marks.

Admission Process of Law Colleges in Punjab

Most law colleges in Punjab accept these entrance exams for undergraduate courses: CLAT, LSAT, SLAT, AILET, UGC NET, GATE, PU LLB, PU UGLAW, LPU NEST, and other law entrance tests. 

For Undergraduate Courses: 

  • Candidates are supposed to fill out the admission application forms of the respective college/university.
  • Selections are made on the basis of merit lists released by the college/university.
