SASTRA University offers course admissions to undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral courses. Admission to the courses is both merit and entrance based. The B.Tech and Integrated M.Tech admissions are done based on the performance of candidates in JEE Mains and 10 + 2 scores. The selection process for law courses is done based on the performance in CLAT examination. The CAT/XAT/AIMAT/CMAT/AIMCAT scores are considered for M.B.A. admissions while GATE scores are considered for M.Tech admissions. Candidates aspiring for admission to Ph.D. courses are required to appear for an entrance examination followed by an interview round. The candidates qualifying for UGC-NET (including JRF) / UGC-CSIR NET (including JRF)/GATE/UPSC competitive exams will be exempted from an entrance examination conducted by the university, however, they have to appear for the interview.
