Every year on September 5, India celebrates Teacher’s Day in honour of recognising teachers’ important contributions to shaping young minds and developing future leaders. This day commemorates the birth anniversary of India’s second President, Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan. He was not only a statesman but was also recognised as a teacher and philosopher.

Teacher’s Day is more than a simple celebration; it is an occasion for students to express their gratitude, respect and admiration to their mentors who have guided them throughout their educational journey.  This day is especially meaningful for college students as well because their teachers serve as career guides, motivators, and mentors and prepare them for the demands of the professional world.

Teacher’s Day 2025, annually celebrated on September 5, 2025, has themes dedicated to it. This year’s theme is “ Inspiring the Next Generation of Learners”.
