In 1949, the Radhakrishnan University Education Commission placed a strong emphasis on the development of agricultural universities in India. To create and incorporate a University of Agriculture and Technology to educate the state's citizens in agriculture, the State of Orissa's Legislature passed the Orissa University of Agriculture and Technology Act, 1961, in 1961.
The Orissa University of Agriculture and Technology opened its application registrations, offering admission to its undergraduate courses on March 18, 2025, and the registration concluded on April 24, 2025. The admit cards for the common entrance examination were made available on May 20, 2025. The OUAT UG entrance exam will be conducted on June 2, 2025 and June 3, 2025. The courses will commence on August 18, 2025.
The candidates who are Agro-Polytechnic(OUAT) passouts, the registrations for various courses offered through this examination opened from May 14, 2025, and will conclude on May 30, 2025. The admit cards will be available for download from June 1, 2025, and the entrance examination (offline) will be conducted on June 7, 2025. The courses will commence on August 18, 2025.
