The Undergraduate Common Entrance Exam for Design (UCEED) is conducted by the Indian Institute of Bombay(IIT Bombay). This examination is used to admit students to the renowned IITs' Bachelor of Design (BDes) programs. Several institutions also accept the UCEED scorecard for entrance to their BDes programs. UCEED and admission to the Bachelor of Design are two different procedures.
This exam admits both Indian and foreign nationals to the Bachelor of Design program. Candidates seeking admission to this program and the prestigious IITs must take this exam. IIT Bombay conducted THE UCEED 2025 in 27 different cities across India.
The examination was conducted on January 19, 2025, for admission to the Bachelor of Design program for the academic session of 2025-26. The registration for this program started in October 2024. The results of UCEED 2025 were released on March 7, 2025. The scorecard was made available for download on March 10, 2025 and will be available till June 11, 2025.
The first round of seat allocation began on April 21, 2025 and concluded on April 29, 2025. The second round of the seat allocation for the Bachelor of Design(B.Des) program started on May 19, 2025 and will conclude on May 27, 2025.
The third round of seat allocation for admission to the Bachelor of Design program in the renowned IITs began on June 10, 2025 and will continue till June 14, 2025. (However the seat allotment dates are tentative, any changes made in the time and date of the seat allotment rounds will be updated on the offcial website as well as in this article.)

Eligibility Criteria for Seeking Admission to B.Des Program through UCEED
To be able to seek admission to the Bachelor of Design program of the participating Indian Institutes of Technology, a certain set of eligibility criteria has been provided by the official authority. There are three criteria that a candidate should qualify to be eligible to seek admission to the Bachelor of Design Program.
Below is the list of eligibility criteria required for admission to the Bachelor of Design program of the participating institutions:-
- A candidate should be at least 24 years of age if they belong to the unreserved category, and should be at least 29 years of age if they belong to the reserved category.
- A candidate must have compulsorily qualified for the UCEED 2025 exam and should have obtained a rank in the exam.
- A candidate must have cleared class 12th in all the related subjects either in 2024 or 2025 from a recognised board.
- A candidate who has cleared class 12th in the science streams with subjects like Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics is eligible to apply to all the participating Indian Institutes of Technology.
- JEE (Advanced) scores will determine admission to IIT Delhi's B.Tech. in Design program. The candidates must, however, also meet UCEED requirements.
