The Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, is the coordinating institute for the GATE 2025 COAP registrations for the students who have qualified for the GATE 2025 examination. The institute has also released a revised schedule for the second round of the GATE 2025 COAP (Common Offer Acceptance Portal) for students seeking admission to the M.Tech programs.
The Common Offer Acceptance Portal, or COAP, was introduced in 2017 to provide registered applicants with a shared platform to choose their preferred candidate for employment offers from participating Public Sector Units (PSUs) or admission to an MTech program at participating schools.
Key Dates of COAP 2025 Registration
The COAP seat allocation is conducted in many rounds. The first round of the COAP seat allocation was conducted from May 17 to May 20, 2025. There have been changes made in the second round of the COAP seat allocation for admission to the M.Tech programs and the recruitment in the Public Sector Undertakings (PSU).
The earlier dates for the GATE 2025 COAP seat allocation to the participating institutes for admissions to the M.Tech programs and the recruitment in the Public Sector Units (PSU) were from May 25, 2025, to May 26, 2025.

Registration Guidelines for COAP 2025
The purpose of the COAP is to make sure that all Master of Technology vacancies are at participating universities are filled and to give PSUs a single platform on which to advertise employment offers to GATE-eligible applicants.
The COAP system's primary goal is to give both universities seeking to admit students and those pursuing M.Tech. programs or jobs at PSU equal opportunities. To apply for the COAP 2025 seat allocation, candidates must be citizens of India and have valid GATE scores for 2023, 2024, and 2025.
Below are some of the steps that a candidate needs to follow while registering for the COAP 2025 seat allocation at the participating universities:-
- Participating universities and the PSUs will share their offers or seats on the decided dates, and the candidates are to accept any of the offers from their desired participating universities or the PSUs.
- A candidate may choose to accept one of the offers that are made and decline further evaluation or advancement in later stages.
- After choosing “Accept and Freeze,” click Submit to confirm. The next step is to go to the PSU job portal or the entrance portal for the relevant Institute and adhere to the guidelines there.
- Once a candidate has made their final decision, they must click Submit to finalise their offer; failure to do so will result in not accessing the portal.
- The candidate must visit the website or admission portal of the relevant organisation after choosing "Accept and Freeze" to finish the joining or admissions procedures by the deadline.
