Now that the NEET UG 2025 results are out, candidates must wonder which government medical colleges in India offer admission to medical courses through the NEET UG Scores. There are around 258 medical colleges in India that the National Medical Commission of India recognises. And the total number of seats intake for all the courses, including undergraduate, postgraduate, diploma and doctoral programs, sums up to 58775, as given by the National Medical Commission.

Vardhman Mahavir Medical College and Safdarjung Hospital, Delhi

Vardhman Mahavir Medical College (VMMC) was set up by the Government of India in November 2001 at Safdarjung Hospital. The first MBBS batch began in February 2002. Even before VMMC was established, Safdarjung Hospital offered postgraduate (MD/MS) courses in clinical subjects.
