The Himachal Pradesh Takniki Shiksha Board was established in July 1986, under the Himachal Pradesh Takniki Shiksha Board Act, 1986. The board administers the exam for admission to polytechnic colleges, which are approved by the AICTE.
The PAT-2025 result was declared on May 28, 2025, and can be checked on the H.P. Takniki Shiksha Board’s official website www.hptechboard.com. To take part in the online admission process for diploma courses for the academic year of 2025-26, there is a certain percentage of marks is required that a candidate should mandatorily secure, and they are as follows:-
- A candidate belonging to the General category must have at least secured 15% marks in the PAT exam to seek admission in the polytechnic colleges of Himachal Pradesh.
- A candidate belonging to the reserved category must have at least secured 10% marks in the PAT exam to seek admission in the polytechnic colleges of Himachal Pradesh.
