Qualifications For Rank Allocation in the NIMCET Exam
A candidate who scores zero or negative marks in Mathematics or total marks in the NIMCET 2025 test will be disqualified. A rank will be assigned based on a qualifying candidate's marks in the NIMCET2025 test using the criteria listed below:-
- The marks secured in Analytical Ability and Logical Reasoning, Computer Awareness, Mathematics and English will be combined. Thus, the maximum weighted mark will be 1000.
- Candidates will be ranked according to their total weighted marks.
- If the candidates end up in a tie, the following tie-breaker rules will be implemented:-
- Tie Breaker 1:- Candidates with higher marks in Mathematics will be prioritised in the merit list in the event of a tie.
- Tie Breaker 2:- This rule will only be implemented if and when two or more candidates secure similar marks in Mathematics. The candidate's rank will be determined by their Analytical Ability and Logical Reasoning scores.
- Tie Breaker 3:- This rule will only be applied if two or more candidates obtain the same marks in Mathematics, Analytical ability, and Logical thinking. The candidate's Computer Awareness marks will decide their position.
- Tie Breaker 4:- This rule is only implemented when two or more candidates have the same marks in Mathematics, Analytical Ability, Logical Reasoning, and Computer Awareness. Preference will be given to those candidates who are older in the merit list.
- Tie Breaker 5:- This rule will only be applicable if the previous tie breakers fail to settle a stalemate. Random sampling by computer will be considered for merit assessment.
Candidates' ranks in the NIMCET-2025 test will be made available on the website.
