The Joint Seat Allocation Authority 2025 was established by the Ministry of Education to oversee and supervise the seat allocations for admissions to 127 institutes for the academic year 2025-26. The participating institutes include 31 NITs, 23 IITs, IIEST Shibpur, 26 IIITs, and 46 Other Government-Funded Technical Institutes. Admissions to all the academic programs offered by the participating institutes are done through this single platform.
Admissions to various academic programs offered by the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) are based on the JEE (Advanced) 2025. Admissions to the Indian Institute of Engineering, Science and Technology (IISET), National Institutes of Technology (NITs), Indian Institutes of Information Technology [IIITs or Triple-I-Ts], Schools of Planning and Architecture, and Other-GFTIs (referred to as NIT+ or NIT+System) are based on JEE (Main) 2025.
Candidates must register using the JoSAA 2025 online site to gain seats at IITs, NITs, IIEST, IIITs (Triple-I-Ts), and other GFTIs.
