The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Sambalpur has introduced its inaugural full-time MBA program in Business Analytics at its Delhi campus. Candidates with a strong CAT percentile, a STEM academic background, and a minimum of one year of relevant work experience are eligible to apply for admission.
In this context, the institute has also signed an MoU with the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) in Thailand for a dual-degree program. The goal is to provide students with a globally-focused, interdisciplinary education that combines the strengths of the flagship MBA and Business Analytics programs, as mentioned in a press release from the institute.

The Master in Business Administration (MBA) program at the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) is recognized as one of the top MBA programs in Thailand. According to the 2024 QS Global MBA Rankings, the program is ranked 23rd in Asia and among the top 200 globally.
The course emphasises management education combined with analytical and technological skills, aiming to prepare future professionals who can tackle complex challenges in business analytics and navigate the AI-driven, data-centric world.
The program also adheres to the STEM education framework, integrating Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics disciplines with management principles.
About the academic programme
In the first year, students will attend the IIM Sambalpur Delhi Campus, with the option to pursue their studies at AIT Thailand in the second year.
Successful graduates will receive a dual degree with a specialisation in Business Analytics. Concurrently, they will be granted a one-year extended work visa in Thailand, facilitating their entry into the international job market.
Prof. Mahadeo Jaiswal, Director of IIM Sambalpur, remarked that the launch of the MBA in Business Analytics represents a significant milestone in the institute's journey.
He stated, "This program aligns with India's ambition to become a global hub for analytics and technology, while also equipping our students to thrive in an increasingly interconnected and data-driven world. The newly launched MBA in Business Analytics will be offered at our Delhi campus, with an intake of 70 students".
Prof. Jaiswal also highlighted that the partnership with AIT Thailand will bolster IIM Sambalpur's global collaborations and reflects the institution's commitment to developing leaders who exemplify innovation, integrity, and inclusiveness.
Currently, IIM Sambalpur offers two dual-degree programs: an MBA in Fintech Management in collaboration with Sorbonne Business School (Paris) and an Executive PhD & DBA Program in partnership with Bordeaux University School of Management.
