It is an engineering college which is a publicly funded autonomous technical institute under the Ministry of Education, Govt. of India. It was founded in 2010 in Ravangla, Sikkim, India. NIT Sikkim Admission 2025
NIT Sikkim offers a variety of degree programmes at the undergraduate, postgraduate and doctorate levels. To be eligible for admission to UG, PG and doctorate programmes, candidates are required to meet the NIT Sikkim selection criteria. Admission to these programmes is conducted through entrance examinations. For B.Tech admissions, students need to appear for JEE Mains and for JoSSA or CSAB counselling process. For M.Tech college programmes, students need to appear for GATE and CCMT counselling process, seat allotment will be done by the respective authorities/boards. For the M.SC programme, students must have appeared in the JAM examination and attended the CCMN counselling. All the PhD admissions are done on a merit basis.
Step-by-step application process:
- Candidates have to appear for the national/state-level entrance examination as per the desired course.
- Selected candidates will be then called for a personal interview and counselling round.
- Final admission is done after the verification of documents and payment of fees.
