Higher Education Secretary NTA: The Secretary of the Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education, Smt. Deepti Gaur Mukherjee, carried out a detailed inspection of the infrastructure and administrative structure of the recently formed National Testing Agency (NTA) office located on Minto Road, New Delhi, today, October 3, 2026. The inspection, which was accompanied by high-ranking officers from NTA, involved examining the modern facility for operations, administrative processes, and the confidential zone of high security to establish foolproof and leak proof processes for national competitive exams that will soon be organized.
This comes after NTA recently relocated from its old offices to the expansive 55,000 square feet offices in the Government of India Press Building in order to bring about a change in logistical and security procedures. During her tour of the facilities, Secretary Mukherjee, in particular, focused on the security procedures within the perimeter of the building and the internal areas of high security, which will be manned by Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) officers with the responsibility of implementing stringent access controls and 24/7 surveillance of these zones.

NTA Operational Review Procedure

The Secretary of Higher Education paid a visit to the 55,000 square feet functioning building at Minto Road to examine space allocation and infrastructure.
He reviewed the process of baggage checking, doormetal detectors, and restricted entry due to security guards of CISF.
The senior management of NTA explained the revised procedure for managing the critical paper-setting section.
The Secretary presided over an operational meeting for administrative preparedness for national competitive tests.
