The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) will close the application process for admission to its July 2026 session programmes on September 30 for foreign students. Non-Resident Indians (NRIs) must apply through the SAMARTH portal, specifically designated for overseas students - ignouforeigniop.samarth.edu.in.

- Click on “Click Here For New Registration,” and enter the required details.
- Once registered, login with your registered user name and password.
- Apply for the respective courses you aim to and pay the fees.
- You will be successfully registered for admissions.

Overseas students eligible for admission include South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC), Non-SAARC, Foreign Students Residing in India (FSRI) and Non-Resident Indian (NRI).
Candidates are allowed to pay the application fee using the credit or debit card. The official portal mentions that students must scan their original documents before uploading.
Once all the documents and details have been submitted, students will be allowed to preview their filled form. They can also download the form for future reference.
