Tripura Medical Counselling Committee, TRMCC, has released the Round 2 NEET UG 2026 seat allotment result. Candidates can download the seat allotment PDF from the official website, i.e. trmcc.admissions.nic.in. About 420 seats have been allotted for the MBBS and BDS courses through the Tripura NEET counselling process. Candidates who have been allotted the seat should report to the Directorate of Medical Education (DME) office from September 15 to September 18. The last date to confirm the allotted seat for Round 2 is September 18, 2026.
NMC Gives A Nod to 50 More MBBS Seats at AGMC
National Medical Commission has approved 50 more MBBS, BDS seats at Agartala Government Medical College (AGMC) and now the the total number of seats for the college has reached 200 seats. According to a notie issued by Medical Assessment and Rating Board (MARB), Tripura Medical College and Tripura Santiniketan Medical College will continue to admit 150 students each.
There are over 1.40 lakh medical seats in over 836 medical colleges in India, as NMC data reads. According to the latest figures, Assam has highest MBBS seat capacity among the northeastern states of India with 1,975 seats, followed by Manipur with 550 seats, Tripura with 500, Meghalaya with 250, Sikkim with 200, and Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram and Nagaland with 100 seats each.
